A 20-year renovator hoping to fulfill a dream, I gained my first furniture-building experience after I joined a team of small local furniture makers located in a garage workshop.

It was in that garage where I transferred my house building skill to acquire the basics of hardwood furniture making, It developed my skills in the craft, I faced plenty of challenges, and I learned valuable lessons about products and fine carpentry, which have become my foundation. With my young black lab always at my heels, I could see that a venture such as this, even in its tentative stages, presented exciting possibilities for attaining a successful future for my small family business. Despite a few setbacks, I realized that I loved building furniture and wood projects even more than building fine homes. I was inspired to continue moving forward in a way that was agreeable and rewarding for myself and my future clients. After my first few years in the woodworking business and seeking guidance of all kinds, I decided to set out on my own to establish a furniture company based on humble roots, sound principles, and excellent workmanship. Rustic and modern handcrafted furniture became a reality, and so was born the "LITTLE SHOP OF WOOD".
